I’ve been a recent reader/follower if this blog as well as your articles elsewhere. I seriously considered taking your Mises Institute class as well. As with most people, I would say that my views and understanding of IP started out generally in support. I’ve now essentially come to agree with your perspective, prompted by the common and ridiculous court cases of patent trolls, copyright suits, etc.

You might find the above story and video interesting fodder. As you can guess from the title, it’s pro IP. It’s an attempt to make a passionate plea for the immorality of profiting from someone else’s work. It’s a good example of how emotions can be used to cloud the issue and cover up double standards.

I recognized several logical lapses and shortcomings, but I will leave it to you to find them for yourself. Would probably make an excellent discussion piece for a class, especially a class opener on IP. It sounds very convincing, superficially.
