The Center for the Study of Innovative Freedom (C4SIF) is dedicated to building public awareness of the manner in which so-called “intellectual property” (IP) laws and policies impede innovation, creativity, communication, learning, knowledge, emulation, and information sharing. We are for property rights, free markets, competition, commerce, cooperation, and the voluntary sharing of knowledge, and oppose IP laws, which systematically impede or hamper innovation. IP law should be completely and immediately abolished.
We provide news commentary and analysis and scholarly resources from our unique pro-property, pro-market, pro-innovation perspective.

this is the biggest crock of crap I have heard in some time on this subject & is embarrassing to those of us who believe in free distribution & IP sharing… this “argument” is pathetic! This flawed dribble delivered in such a condescending & pathetic manner only serves as an argument against freedom of distribution & IP.
Mr Nym, please try again, to this time post a coherent comment.
sure… read your response Mr Kinsella… not so coherent – much like your post.
Your definition of IP as a property is flawed. An idea involves a process which can at times have a patent or simply a copyright; to achieve that they need to be original in substance & content.
The use, distribution & “copy” as you call it in your opinion has no value… I would argue that is because you have NO IDEA & you may not have any means of understanding the value of innovation, art, creativity & intellectual property.
This issue is not about “loss” or “gain”… it is about ownership & development; it is not about secrecy or NDA for information – it is about freedoms & liberties to create.
You are way off the mark with this post. It is rubbish – but as long as you defend it you OWN it. Go on, defend it & put weight to my argument.
