Gene Quinn, Patent Shill, Bans another articulate patent opponent

Gene Quinn, a patent lawyer who insists on having an Opinion, previously banned me from commenting on his joke of a patent shill site, for daring to call a spade a spade.1 Now this intellectual buffoon has banned the heroic legal philosopher and IP abolitionist David Koepsell. I guess Kevin Carson is next. Purge, purge!

The best part was Quinn denouncing Koepsell for his “arrogant tone.” He should give advance warning to people drinking coffee.

Logic is so very arrogant, isn’t it?
Ah well, I’m in good company now.

We need to answer the IP Maximalist’s question “How are we going to make massive profits from sale of old rope without anachronistic instruments of injustice (vestigial privileges) that let us prosecute anyone who attempts to sell new rope?”

Obviously, while massive profits are most attractive to profiteers and those lobbied by them, there is no intrinsic merit in suspending the people’s liberty in order to provide monopolists with the extortionate bounty they crave.

A free market may not be as profitable as one warped by monopolies, but it still enables the interested section of the market to collectively sponsor the cures and technical innovations they may value, i.e. a free market still enables the inventor to exchange their work for the money of those who value it.

But of course, a free market is heresy to the monopolist. In their book, innovation cannot occur without laws prohibiting its use.

A monopoly is a dynamo on the back wheel of mankind’s technological bicycle that allegedly helps advance its progress by powering a motor on its front wheel.

Any thermodynamicist that suggests the bicycle would progress the faster without the dynamo commits heresy and must be shunned.

    Welcome to the heliocentricity club.
